Two paintings by the Luxembourgish painter Corneille Lentz discovered during renovation project

At the recent exhibition “Plakeg!” at Villa Vauban, a newly-found painting by the Luxembourgish painter Corneille Lentz was displayed. The painting was discovered in the estate of Mrs Antoinette Schleich-Lentz, the daughter of the painter and the founder of Fondation Schleich-Lentz. It was found in the attic of her house in poor condition and was donated to the museum to be restored.

Philanthrope français décoré par le Premier Ministre Xavier Bettel pour son engagement

Philippe Champy, de nationalité française, fondateur de la Fondation La Marck a été élevé ce jeudi 8 novembre 2018 au grade de Commandeur de l’Ordre de Mérite du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg par le Premier Ministre Xavier Bettel. Une distinction qui vise à honorer l’engagement exceptionnel en faveur du patrimoine luxembourgeois de sa fondation, abritée sous l’égide de la Fondation de Luxembourg.
