In Nepali, “Karuna” (करुणा) means “compassion” or “empathy”.

 The KARUNA Foundation aims to identify, support and implement sustainable programs that address children’s most pressing needs, providing them with a solid foundation for a healthier, more promising future.

 Through strategic partnerships and direct action, the KARUNA Foundation will support opportunities to combat and address the root causes of poverty and vulnerability affecting children.

In Nepali, “Karuna” (करुणा) means “compassion” or “empathy.” This term is often used to express a deep sense of care, kindness, and understanding toward others, particularly those who are suffering or in need. It is rooted in many South Asian cultures and is commonly associated with a compassionate mindset focused on helping others.

The acronym KARUNA also very well reflects the key purposes of the foundation:
