The Fondation de Luxembourg was established in December 2008 by the Luxembourg State and the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, with the mission of promoting and facilitating private philanthropy.
The structure was created to meet the growing need for a center of expertise dedicated to philanthropy in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and to stimulate and facilitate long-term commitments by private individuals and/or companies.
