Open-air activities for all at Lake Remerschen

Fondation N. Mackel

The installation of inclusive fishing pontoons on the lake enables wheelchair-bound anglers to enjoy this activity in the great outdoors.

Everyone, no matter their physical abilities, should be able to enjoy sunny days by the lake. With this in mind, the non-profit organization Erliefnis Baggerweier is promoting accessibility for all, right down to the inclusive fishing pontoons they have built on Lake Remerschen (Luxembourg), enabling wheelchair-bound anglers to fish in the heart of nature.

In addition to fishing, this recreational zone, which is set in an exceptional natural environment facing vineyards, offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, both on land and on water, accessible to all. Supported by the municipality of Schengen, the Erliefnis Baggerweier association, which manages and operates the site, also promotes the integration and professional reintegration of workers from different backgrounds.
