The Loo & Lou Foundation Supports a Unique Collaboration Between Artist Andrea Mancini and Design Collective Every Island
The exhibition at the Luxembourg Pavilion at the Venice Biennale will take place from April 20 to November 24, 2024.
The Luxembourg Pavilion will host a unique collaboration between Luxembourgish artist and musician Andrea Mancini and Every Island, a Brussels-based design collective founded in 2021. Situated at the intersection of visual arts, performance, music, and installation, their project titled A Comparative Dialogue Act approaches the pavilion as a space for production and experimentation, welcoming contributions from other artists.
In this project, sound is envisioned both as a shared space and as a medium for creating interference, contamination, and layering.
Andrea Mancini (b. 1989, Luxembourg) is a multidisciplinary artist and musician whose work explores the relationship between space, subject, and sound through performances activated within installations and video environments.
Every Island is a design collective founded in 2021 by Alessandro Cugola, Caterina Malavolti, Damir Draganić, Juliane Seehawer, and Martina Genovesi. Focused on the role of performativity in architecture, their research often results in the creation of ephemeral installations.
