The Fondation de Luxembourg is duly supervised by its Board of Directors, which is the highest decision-making authority of its structure.
The Board comprises seven prominent members of Luxembourg society:
With a view to optimizing its strategy and working procedures, the Fondation de Luxembourg calls upon a group of specialists in various fields related to philanthropy; it also uses the services of experts in private banking, taxation and, more generally, services for HNWI (High Net Worth Individuals) with a bearing on philanthropy.
The Advisory Committee gives the Foundation the benefit of expertise in these different areas with a strategy targeted directly on donors’ needs.
The Committee has the following prominent members:
Tonika is in charge of the day to day management of the Foundation. She also represents the Foundation in relation to its clients, intermediaries, external stakeholders and the general public. Tonika represents the Fondation de Luxembourg in the Management Committees of the foundations under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg.
Of Swedish nationality, Tonika speaks Swedish, French and English.
Marc is in charge of the daily internal operations of the foundations under the aegis of Fondation de Luxembourg. This includes the monitoring of the investment portfolios of the sheltered foundations.
Of Belgian nationality, Marc speaks French, English and Dutch.
Eléonore advises donors concerning the structuring of their philanthropic engagement and manages the onboarding of new foundations under the aegis of Fondation de Luxembourg. She further handles inheritances including the coordination with notaries and public authorities. Eléonore serves as GDPR coordinator.
Of Luxembourgish and French nationality, Eléonore speaks French and English.
Arlyne works as programme manager specializing in the areas of education, social cohesion and poverty reduction. She guides donors in the search for a project meeting their aspirations; she monitors the project implementation and evaluates the impact of the donors’ engagement.
In doing so, she liaises with non-profit organizations with particular reference to aspects of supervision and reporting on projects supported by foundations in her areas of reference.
Of French nationality, Arlyne speaks French, English and Spanish.
Bertrand works as programme manager specializing in the areas of scientific research, climate change and biodiversity. He guides donors in the search for a project meeting their aspirations; he monitors the project implementation and evaluates the impact of the donors’ engagement.
In doing so, he liaises with non-profit organizations with particular reference to aspects of supervision and reporting on projects supported by foundations in his areas of reference.
Of French nationality, Bertrand speaks French and English.
Paula supports the Foundation’s external communication. She coordinates the preparation of various publications and handles the Foundation’s communication through social media channels. Furthermore, Paula is in charge of sourcing and monitoring projects in the area of culture.
Of American nationality, Paula speaks English and French.
Nathalie is responsible for the secretariat of the French-speaking Management Committees of the sheltered foundations. She coordinates the Management Committee meetings, prepares the agendas and the minutes.
Of French nationality, Nathalie speaks French, English and Spanish.
Melanie handles the daily operations of the foundations under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg. She further provides secretariat services to the Management Committees of the English- and German-speaking foundations and accompanies the Peter und Barbara Bittmann Stiftung in coordinating the projects supported.
Of Belgian nationality, Melanie speaks French, English and German.
Cecily assists the Director General in her daily work. She further coordinates the Management Committee meetings for English- and German-speaking foundations, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
Of Austrian nationality, Cecily speaks German, English, and French.
