Supporting the discovery of theatrical activities for young people in difficulty

Since 2022, the Mazalbert Foundation has been supporting the activities of the Etty Hillesum Theatre, located in the mixed city of Ramla. The theatre offers training in theatre-related professions for teenagers in difficulty.

In Ramla, the Etty Hillesum youth theatre, ‘The Voice of Youth’ (Kol Ha'Noar), welcomes young people in precarious situations and offers them a place to express themselves, build their self-confidence and learn.

At the Etty Hillesum theatre, they have the opportunity to discover the craft of writing, directing, costume design and make-up. Through these activities, they are confronted with all the facets of the theatrical world and learn about project management and working together. National and international performances are also offered to young people. These are all additional opportunities for participants to forge new friendships and exchanges, and to learn and enjoy new creative experiences.

NB: These creations were produced with the support of the Fondation Mazalbert, sheltered under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg. The opinions, ideas and artistic expressions presented in these works are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect the positions of the Fondation abritée. The Mazalbert Foundation is committed to promoting reflection, debate, critical thinking and creation.
