Sled dog adventure in Laponia helps troubled teens discover their strengths

Between the Ounaasjoki river and the Pallas highlands, 150 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, a group of teenagers discover their hidden strengths while overcoming the challenges of extreme conditions.

The organisation "La Trace" invites troubled Luxembourg teens in need of guidance to join in a week-long expedition in Laponia, Finland, accompanied by a team of sled dogs. This once in a lifetime opportunity gives them the chance to care for and bond with the dogs, learn self-sufficiency and survival skills and to work together as a team. Throughout the week, teens are encouraged to push themselves to their limits, discovering that they are capable of much more than they initially thought.
