Atoz Foundation formed with EUR 1 million commitment
ATOZ is pleased to announce the creation of the Atoz Foundation. The foundation will be hosted within the Fondation de Luxembourg. "After financing the first professor chair at the University of Luxembourg the partners of ATOZ together with all of its staff, decided to take one step further in our corporate citizenship," said Norbert Becker, chairman of ATOZ.
The Atoz Foundation will support education in particular, as well as projects aiming to increase social cohesion. Projects will be supported in Luxembourg and internationally. The Atoz Chair for European and International Taxation created in 2009 with the University of Luxembourg will be funded by the Atoz Foundation.
The Foundation was inspired by the feedback of members of ATOZ, wishing to see their firm contribute more broadly to its community. ATOZ commits EUR 1 million for the foundation over the next 3 years. "All our staff are enthusiastically supporting our initiative; apart from cash contributions, they are committed also to spend part of their time on Foundation projects," underlined Keith O'Donnell, Managing Partner.
“Christian Schaack, who held senior executive positions in Luxembourg and abroad and was involved in the academic world in the US, has accepted to be the Foundation's Chairman," added Fatah Boudjelida, Managing Partner of ATOZ. Tonika Hirdman representing the Fondation de Luxembourg will also be member of the management committee.
