On February 6, 2014 Tonika Hirdman spoke about philanthropy at the Private Bankers’ day in Luxembourg.

In relation to the title of the conference Private Banking is dead: now what?, Tonika proposed philanthropy services as a new niche within private wealth management. Among topics covered, were the trends in philanthropic growing, how to add value to client relationships through philanthropy services and some concrete illustrations of foundation projects.

She finished her presentation with a famous quote by Aristotle, where he rightfully said:

To give away money is an easy matter and in any man's power.

But to decide to whom to give it and how large and when, and for what purpose and how, is neither in every man’s power nor an easy matter.
