Luxembourg, 14 November 2020
Since its creation under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, the Enovos Foundation has been committed to advancing science and new technologies. In this context, and with the aim of promoting engineering studies and careers, the “Excellence Prize” was awarded for the ninth time. Given the current health situation, the event did not take place in its usual convivial setting, but rather in digital form via video conference.
The “Excellence Prize” is awarded annually by the Enovos Foundation and its partners, the da Vinci association and ANEIL (National Association of Luxembourg Engineering Students a.s.b.l.), to students in recognition of the best engineering graduation theses. An independent jury composed of engineers selected the best final projects from 25 submissions and awarded each of the five winners a prize of €2,500 for their outstanding work.
The virtual awards ceremony was attended by Jean Lucius (President of the Enovos Foundation), Erik von Scholz (CEO of Enovos Luxembourg), Marc Solvi (President of the Da Vinci Association), Charly Huberty (President of ANEIL), and Thierry Flies (President of the jury).
