For the fourth time, the Fondation de Luxembourg organized a roundtable discussion on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, bringing together around ten founders of foundations under its aegis, this time focused on those active in the cultural and artistic fields. The goal was to encourage exchange, offer a platform to share experiences, and explore different approaches to philanthropic engagement.
One key conclusion from the discussion was that, in today’s climate of mistrust, art serves as an excellent bridge between different groups in a multicultural society. As one of the participating founders stated:
“We need to wake people up, so they question themselves a little more and show more respect for others. The cultural sector is perfectly suited for this.”
The roundtable, held at House 17 in Luxembourg City, was followed by a friendly networking lunch, where participants had the opportunity to continue their conversations.
