With the ambition of fostering lasting dialogue among philanthropists—and thereby encouraging collaboration and the sharing of experiences—the Fondation de Luxembourg regularly organizes Roundtables with the founders and representatives of foundations hosted under its aegis.
This year, the event brought together foundations active in supporting scientific research or providing academic support to students.
Discussions centered around key questions, such as the importance of establishing a clear framework for collaboration between donor expectations and researchers’ goals, and the added value of independent technical committees in foundation decision-making. In this context, participants also considered the potential involvement of the National Research Fund (FNR). The conversation extended to the use and management of intellectual property generated through philanthropic support.
As in previous editions, the roundtable concluded with a lunch, offering participants the opportunity to continue exchanging ideas in a more informal setting.
Hosted Foundations Represented at the Event:
ATOZ Foundation ; Fondation Josée Wolter-Hirtt ; Vera Nijs & Jens Erik Rosborg Foundation ; CARO Foundation ; Science for Society Foundation ; ESSKA Foundation ; Fondation du Pélican ; Fondation Pierre Werner ; Luxembourg University Foundation ; Fondation ENOVOS
