A renovation project has transformed the "Maison Schleich-Lentz" from a single-family home into affordable housing that can accommodate up to 8 students from the University of Luxembourg.

The Schleich-Lentz Foundation was created by Ms. Antoinette Schleich-Lentz with the goal of providing quality housing for students of the University of Luxembourg. Upon her passing in 2016, Ms. Schleich-Lentz bequeathed her house in Limpertsberg to the foundation with the intention that the single-family home be transformed into student housing.

The renovation work began with the clearing of the house’s contents, including its large collection of artworks and paintings. Most of the paintings were by her father, Corneille Lentz, a renowned Luxembourgish artist, and have since been donated to local museums.

Following major renovation work, the Maison Schleich-Lentz now includes six individual bedrooms, one shared room, common areas, and a studio. Located in the heart of Luxembourg in the sought-after Limpertsberg district, the house began welcoming its first students in November 2020.
