When Representatives of International Companies Share Their Philanthropic Experiences
On Wednesday, December 5, the Fondation de Luxembourg hosted a roundtable gathering companies that have each established their foundations under its aegis.
At the heart of the discussion were the different philanthropic approaches and strategies adopted by each founder.
Participants such as Mr. Paul Helminger, president of The Mangrove Foundation (active in environmental conservation), representatives from the newly created Atoz Foundation (supporting university education), and Mr. Marc Grizelle from the CVC Capital Partners Foundation (focused on venture philanthropy), shared their experiences on topics such as project supervision, employee involvement, and best practices for managing a foundation.
This was the first event of its kind organized by the Fondation de Luxembourg, bringing together representatives of various hosted foundations. Judging by the enthusiastic responses, there is a strong interest in peer exchange around philanthropy.
“By sharing experiences and learning from one another, we aim to contribute to more effective giving. As a hosting foundation, we have the privilege of seeing all the projects of the different foundations. We’ve noticed commonalities, and this roundtable is likely to lead to greater collaboration between foundations,” said Tonika Hirdman, Director of the Fondation de Luxembourg.
