The challenges facing Luxembourg society, within a context of sustained demographic and economic growth, demand both responsibility and ingenuity. Scientific research and technological innovation are essential levers for sustainably reducing energy needs, increasing the efficiency of energy use, and promoting the integration of renewable energies, while improving the quality of life for current and future generations.
In this context, the Fondation Enovos is launching a call for scientific projects in order to fund a technological innovation project or study contributing to Luxembourg's energy transition, with a particular focus on energy efficiency, system effectiveness, and the creation of local value.

Priority Research Themes
Submitted proposals must meet the requirements and conditions detailed below and fall within one or more of the following themes:
- Energy sharing and storage;
- Energy system flexibility;
- Sustainable transport and mobility, bidirectional charging;
- Energy-efficient buildings, housing, and neighborhoods;
- Renewable energies: integration, optimization, environmental impact, and circularity;
- Behaviors, uses, and socio-economic models promoting energy efficiency;
- Use and adoption of artificial intelligence;
- Resilience of energy systems.
Particular attention will be paid to projects which are:
-applicable to the Luxembourg context;
-promoting a systemic approach (technology, uses, economy);
-involving multiple stakeholders (research, public actors, businesses, citizens);
-including a co-financing mechanism.
Project Phases
The proposed projects must cover all or part of the following four phases:
1. A thorough review of the scientific and technological state of the art, related to the targeted theme and sector;
2. A study of the technical potential of the proposed innovation;
3. Implementation of a Proof of Concept (PoC) or technological demonstration;
