Medical support to the health zone of Iboko in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Providing primary health services to local populations

The Iboko program aims to improve sustainability of the health care system in the area of Iboko — a particularly remote rural area in the province of Equateur in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. More than 90% of the total population (about 100-120,000), lives below the poverty line. The support provided funds medicine and medical equipment, helps building solar installations and facilitates water supply. Attention is also given to the ongoing training of medical personnel through supervision.
