Completed Project

Supporting Scientific Research Conducted by the Department of Mathematics at the University of Turku in Finland

The project aimed to support the study of complex systems theory and its real-world applications.

Research on complex systems focuses on the emergent properties of large systems viewed as networks of interacting parts or subsystems, such as social, biological, or technological networks. The analysis of complex systems emphasizes the development of new descriptive frameworks and the exploration of their structural components.

The goal was to create an international, multidisciplinary ecosystem aligned with the mission to “find order in chaos,” helping us better understand who we are and how to address the collective challenges we face.

From an academic perspective, the outcomes of these research programs include the development of a theoretical framework, mathematical innovation, and knowledge transfer. From a societal perspective, they contribute proofs of concept, functional prototypes, data collection and analysis, and technological demonstrations.
