The goal is to create opportunities for art-based learning for a wide range of audiences.
The Sackler Center for Arts Education at the Guggenheim—a dedicated 8,200-square-meter learning center—is the heart of the museum’s efforts to develop and deliver meaningful art-based educational opportunities. Programs include multi-session school partnerships, critiques, live performances and film screenings, classes for teens and adults, and daily gallery tours.
Each year, these initiatives engage more than 250,000 students, youth, educators, families, and lifelong learners. Beyond fostering a lasting relationship with art, art history, and the museum itself, the Guggenheim’s educational programs help build valuable academic and personal skills such as critical thinking, visual literacy, and communication.
