A growing number of young adults, often with traumatic experiences, are not yet ready to face adult life and the responsibilities that go with it.
In order to provide these young people with individualised support, the CANDIDA Foundation has chosen to support the ‘Biergop’ centre run by Cercle Eric Haas asbl. The Biergop centre in Luxembourg provides supervised accommodation for young adults aged 18 to 26, with intensive professional support to boost their self-confidence and their desire to change their situation.
The centre welcomes young people who are generally unemployed and out of the education system, and offers them collective accommodation where they can receive individualised socio-educational and psychological assistance. In addition to this support, a grace farm offers animal-assisted therapy, and other workshops linked to gardening, cooking and creativity are available to young people.
