Entrepreneurial and Corporate Philanthropy: Bringing the Spirit of Enterprise to Giving

The latest edition of the Founders Roundtable brought together an exceptional group of participants representing a number of foundations at the Cercle Munster on October 15th, 2025. Corporate foundations, entrepreneurial founders, and corporate donors to the Fondation pour le Climat, all operating under the aegis of Fondation de Luxembourg, gathered for an intimate and forward-looking exchange on how entrepreneurial thinking can enrich and strengthen philanthropic action.

The session began with a presentation by Fatah Boudjelidah, Management Committee member of the Atoz Foundation under our aegis, who shared the foundation’s journey from its creation to its current activities. Drawing on his experience in both the Management Committee and Pre-Selection Committee, he explained how the corporate foundation was established, highlighted supported projects, outlined how to engage employees, and reflected on lessons learned over 13 years of corporate philanthropic engagement. His insights offered participants a clear and practical perspective on not only building and sustaining an effective corporate foundation.

Following his remarks, participants took part in a dynamic discussion addressing key questions for today’s philanthropic leaders, including how to define a clear strategic focus, build engagement and a sense of ownership among stakeholders, and ensure continuity as leadership evolves. The atmosphere was one of openness, curiosity, and shared ambition, echoing the belief that philanthropy, like enterprise, thrives when ideas and resources are brought together.

As with every edition, the Founders Roundtable - an initiative of the Fondation de Luxembourg's Founders Circle - offered participants the opportunity to meet fellow founders, share experiences, and discover different approaches to philanthropic engagement. By focusing each session on a dedicated theme and encouraging open dialogue, the roundtable continues to provide a trusted space for exchanging perspectives and deepening collective understanding of how to shape and guide impactful philanthropic commitments.
