The recently renovated ‘Maison Schleich-Lentz’ offers affordable housing for up to 8 students from the University of Luxembourg.
The Fondation Schleich-Lentz supports access to quality housing for students from the University of Luxembourg as its objective.
At the time of the founder's passing in 2016, her home in Limpertsberg, which she had bequeathed to the foundation, began an extensive renovation into student housing. The home's contents were cleared out, including her expansive collection of art objects and paintings. Many of the paintings were by her late father, Corneille Lentz, a well-known Luxembourg artist, and were donated to local museums.
After significant remodeling, the Maison Schleich-Lentz now counts 6 individual bedrooms and a shared bedroom, communal spaces, as well as an art studio. Located in the center of Luxembourg in the attractive Limpertsberg neighborhood, the house welcomed its first students in November 2020.
The Maison Schleich-Lentz was featured in the RTL programme Home(s) on March 22, 2022.
